영어회화 3일 : 대화의 시작

1.  How was your trip? :   여행은 어땠어?

So, how was your trip?    그래, 여행은 어땠어?

It was great.     대단했지.

• 요즘 어떻게 지내?   How are things with you?
• 요즘 사는 게 어때?   How's life treating you?
• 아내는 잘지내?   How is your wife?
• 가족들은 잘 지내?   How is your family doing?
• 그 프로젝트는 잘 돼 가고 있어?   How is that project going?

 

2. Did you hear that ~ ? :  ~ 라는 얘기 들었어요?

Did you hear about Anne?   Anne 얘기 들었어?

What about her?    Anne 얘기 뭐?

She is getting married next week !   걔 다음 주에 결혼한대?

What? I didn't know that!    뭐? 난 그거 몰랐는데!

• 너 제임스랑 앤이랑 사귀는 거 알았어?  Did you know that James and Anne are dating?
• 믿을 수 없어!  I can't believe this!
• Anne 이 결혼한다는 말을 들었어. I heard that Anne is getting married.

 

3.  Guess what I heard !  :  내가 무슨 얘기를 들었게 !

What ?  뭔데?

James won the lottery !     James 가 복권에 당첨됐대 !

• 내가 최근에 알게 된 게 있는데 뭐게?   Guess what I found out!
• 내가 방금 누구를 봤는지 알아?   Guess whom I just saw!
• 내가 들은 이 소식, 말해도 넌 안 믿을 거야    You'll never believe what I heard!
• 제임스가 나에게 뭘 말해 줬는지 들어도 안 믿을 걸 !   You won't believe what James told me!

 

4. 영어로 말해보기

Mary :  너 Mira 얘기 들었어?

Sara :  걔가 뭐 어쨌는데?

Mary :  걔 요즘 데이트 하는 거 알아?

Sara :  뭐? 정말 말도 안 돼!! 난 걔랑 제일 친한 친구인데 그런 줄도 몰랐다니!

Mary :  근데 걔 남자친구에 대해서 내가 뭘 또 알아냈게??

Sara :  뭔데?

Mary :  근데 듣자 하니까 이미 여자 친구가 있대!

 

Mary :  Did you hear about Mira?

Sara :  What about her?

Mary :  Did you know that she is seeing someone?

Sara :  What? Oh, I can't believe this! I'm her best friend and I didn't know about that!

Mary :  Well, guess what I found out about her boyfriend.

Sara :  What?

Mary :  I heard he already has a girlfriend.

Harry :  오늘 내가 James 에 대해서 뭘 알게 됐는지 알아?

Matt   :  뭔데?

Harry :  들어도 믿지 못할걸.. 듣자 하니 새로운 여자친구가 생겼다고 하더라.

Matt   :  말도 안 돼.. 걘 이미 여자친구가 있잖아!

Harry :  난 정말 믿을 수가 없어. 난 James가 어떤 애인지 알잖아. 걘 그런 애가 아니야!

Matt   :  그리고 Anne 이 얼마나 좋은 애인데! James 가 그러면 안 되지..

 

Harry :  Guess what I found out about James today?

Matt   :  What?

Harry :  You won't believe this. I heard he got a new girlfriend.

Matt   :  No way! He already has a girlfriend!

Harry :  I can't believe this! I mean I know James. And he's not that kind of guy!

Matt   :  And Anne is such a nice girl! He can't do this to her!
