영어회화 25일 : 공감하기 (정말 잘 됐네요)

1. That’s wonderful  : 그거, 정말 잘 됐네요.

나 승진했어!        I got promoted!

그거 정말 잘됐다!   That’s wonderful!

• 정말 기쁘다.    I’m so happy for you.
• 해냈구나.    You did it! / You made it!
• 정말 잘했구나!    How nice!
• 잘됐다!    Good for you!

 

2.  I’m sure it’ll be okay  :  괜찮을 거야.

I hope they won’t tow away my car.  내 차 견인해 가지 않았으면 좋겠다.

I’m sure it’ll be okay.   괜찮을 거야.

• 나 별일 없을 테니 걱정 말아요.    I know i’ll be fine.
• 그 일은 신경 쓰지 않아도 돼.    I’m sure you don’t have to worry about it.
• 그렇게까지 나쁘진 않을 거야.    It won’t be that bad.

 

3.  I’m sorry to hear that  :  그렇다니 안됐네요

My dad is very sick.   우리 아빠가 많이 아파요.

I’m sorry to hear that. Can I help you with anything?  그렇다니 안됐네요. 내가 뭐 도와줄거라도 없나요?

• 정말 안됐군요.    That’s too bad.
• 도울 일이 있으면 언제든 연락해.    If you need any help just let me know.
• 애석하군.    Too bad.
• 그래도 어쩔 수 없잖아?    But what can you do about it?

 

4. 영어로 말해보기

James : 우리 드디어 결혼날짜 잡았어!

Matt     :  잘됐다! 축하해!

Harry   :  잘됐네! 정말 기쁘네.

Matt     :  그래, 언제가 거사날이야?

James :  11월 7일. 믿어져?

Harry   :  아, 진짜 금방이네!

James :  그러게, 준비할 시간이 겨우 한달밖에 없어. 그래서 걱정이야.

Matt     :  괜찮을거야..

Harry   :  그래. 걱정할 필요없어.

 

James :  We finally set the wedding date!

Matt     :  That’s wonderful! Congratulations!

Harry   :  That’s great! I’m so happy for you.

Matt     :  So, when’s the big day?

James :  November 7th. Can you believe it?

Harry   :  Oh, that’s so soon!

James :  I know. I only have a month to prepare. I’m so worried.

Matt     :  I’m sure it’ll be okay.

Harry   :  Yeah, you don’t have to worry.

 

 

부장     :  그래, 드디어 해냈군! 축하해요!

James :  감사합니다.

부장    :  그래, 며칠이나 쉬어야겠어요? 일주일?

James :  음, 그러면좋죠. 그런데 미팅 때문에 12일 이전에는 돌아와야해요.

Harry   :  오, 그건 안됐다.

부장    :  와우, 이게 바로 프로페셔널이군! 그런데 걱정할필요 없어요.

Harry   :  우리가 알아서 할게. 그러니까 여유있게 해. 서두를 필요없어.

James : 와우, 고마워. 네가 최고야!

 

부장    :  So, you made it! Congratulations!

James :  Thank you.

부장    :  So, how many days do you need to take off? A week?

James :  Well, I wish. But I have to be back before the 12th for a meeting.

Harry   :  Oh, I’m sorry to hear that.

부장    :  Wow, this is what I call professional! But you don’t have to worry.

Harry   :  We will take care of it. So, take your time. No need to rush.

James :  Wow, thank you. You are the best !
